I’m Payton, a journalist, communicator, artist, and creative.

I love telling human-focused stories with an emphasis on emotion, arts, and local communities. Writing is one of my favorite things to do, but I’m also a novice photographer, graphic designer, and content creator. Learning is important to me, and I’m always trying out new hobbies and skills. I’m interested in all sorts of opportunities, but am most leaning toward a career in the field of communications.

I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring media and journalism with a minor in environmental science and studies.

When I’m not busy with school or internships, you can find me working on my small business, Crocheted by Payton. I regularly attend craft fairs, markets and pop-ups where I sell crocheted plushies. I love seeing the smiles that my handmade products can bring to adults and children alike.
